Women in Technology WA and Spacecubed join forces to support WA Women in Tech!

White office desks and black office chairs in the new WiTWA Hub

Media Release

Women in Technology WA (WiTWA) and Spacecubed have joined forces to launch WiTWA Hub, a flexible coworking space for women in technology to connect, create and inspire. Designed to be a safe environment to focus on their businesses and expand their networks, WiTWA Hub provides space and community for women to
collaborate and innovate.

Tina Ambrose, Co-Chair of WiTWA, said, “With the future of work requiring 50% of workers to possess STEM skills, it is more important than ever to retain and attract more women to our industry. Research shows that, even when we’re attracting women to STEM fields, the challenge is retaining them due to the lack of role models, sponsors, flexible arrangements, progression, and security. The WiTWA Hub is one of WiTWA’s key initiatives designed to address these issues with flexible workspaces, industry events, discounted childcare, and access to a diverse and inclusive network.”

Chandra Sundareswaran, General Managerof Spacecubed, said “We are excited to formalise our partnership with WiTWA to support this great initiative. Spacecubed is acutely aware of the diversity gap in the technology industry with women forming less than 23% of the workforce. Through our She Codes initiative and WiTWA’s numerous initiatives including Techtrails, we believe we are tackling the skills gap. The WiTWA Hub will expand our collective vision of an inclusive tech community in WA.”

WiTWA Hub is located at 45 St Georges Terrace, Perth, WA 6000 and WiTWA members can access this benefit by emailing their enquiry to [email protected].
