“Please give it a go, put yourself forward,” WA’s former chief scientist calls on girls and women to put their hands up for STEM roles

This International Women’s Day, listen back as Prof Lyn Beazley AO chats with Joanna Trilling about her distinguished science career.

The former West Australian of the Year wants to encourage more women and girls to consider and train for STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) roles.

Prof Beazley also shares with Jo why she was initially hesitant herself, to apply for the role of WA’s chief scientist.
