WiTWA Boardroom Series: Data Science Week - Addressing the STEM skills gap to drive the application of data science in WA

WITWA is excited to celebrate Data Science week with host Bankwest and explore the topic of "Addressing the STEM Skills Gap to Drive the Application of Data Science in WA”.

Kicking off with a welcome address from Professor Lyn Beazley AO FTSE, WiTWA Patron, neuroscientist and educator (& previously the Chief Scientist of WA and Australian of the Year).

Lyn will be followed by Luke Edwards, Data Scientist at Pawsey Supercomputing Centre sharing the history and background on data science week and it’s importance and his vision including current and future initiatives.

Rounded out by our panel of industry experts discussing the future of data science as well as ideas on how to address the shortage of STEM skills and the importance of data science to the future of Western Australia.
