About Jennifer Parker

Jennifer works a Control Systems Engineer at BHP’s Nickel West smelter operation, one of Australia’s largest mining companies. Jennifer trained as a process engineer but after working in the field for several years, made the switch to control systems, where she combines her years of experience in multiple processing fields with a passion and talent for process automation and control. She focuses primarily on implementation of new automation within existing control structures as well as on improving system user operability. Her work aside, Jennifer is passionate about encouraging young students to enter STEM roles and the resources industry, participating in mentoring events such as the CSIRO STEM Professionals program, DigIT program and Get into Resources event.
