Janaki moved to Australia in 2005 with her husband and young family, after a successful career in the IT sector in her home country of Sri Lanka. She joined Rio Tinto as a network engineer, and has now progressed within the company to managing the global network operation for the mining giant, managing telecommunications and IT connectivity for thousands of team members around the world.
Her years with Rio Tinto have helped her to build confidence as a communicator with people of all levels and from a diverse array of cultures and backgrounds, and she loves helping people on her teams to realize their own potential.
Janaki has a Bachelor of Engineering specializing in electronics and telecommunications.
