About Claire McGregor

Claire started her career as a veterinary surgeon before training herself in multiple IT fields whilst working for UK-based e-commerce start-up, MedicAnimal.com. She then established Perth’s first tech accelerator program, a chapter of the Founders Institute, which she ran for its first two years.

Claire became a founder and entrepreneur when she joined Stuart Hall to form Appbot and has since grown that business to serve over 35% of the world’s top charting app developers, 98% of which are outside Australia. Claire is a regular speaker and participant in female founder sessions for the start-up community. As part of the organising team for the first StartupWeekend in Perth, Claire is seen as a leader in the local start-up community. She is always keen to help new founders and particularly female founders on their journey. Claire is highly sought after and respected by her peers in the WA start-up ecosystem, having mentored more than 30 start-ups.
