In her role as Geology Manager, Aimee manages the only department within Northern Star Resources with 50% females. She has achieved this by identifying key roles that can be filled on a flexible and part-time basis to encourage women to return to work after having a family.
By coaching and mentoring her team and peers, Aimee has built a high-performing Geology team who deliver high-quality results. She implemented a Graduate Geologist program to retain geologists, which has positively impacted voluntary turnover rates. She provided on the job mentoring and training to employees, enabling unskilled, local workers to get their foot in the door in the mining industry.
Aimee volunteers her time for community events to foster interest in the field of Geology, including the GEMIA Careers Expo and Heartwalk 2018.
