About Nicola Gray

Nicola is a Senior Lecturer in Phenomics specialising in diabetes and obesity at the Australian National Phenome Centre (ANPC), Murdoch University. Nicola obtained her PhD from King’s College London in analytical chemistry, where her research focused on the use of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry to improve the detection and quantification of doping agents in sport. Prior to joining the ANPC, Nicola was based at the University of Reading where her research focused on the influence of diet and health and disease, and developing methods to assess dietary intake using urine or blood samples. Nicola’s interests focus on advanced analytical chemistry platforms, particularly separation science and mass spectrometry, applied to large-scale phenotyping to study population health.
