About Michelle Chomiak

Michelle is a leading educator, role model, and advocate for girls. She inspires our future professionals by creating relevant learning experiences for students in Digital Technologies and Computer Science. As a Digital Technologies Teacher of the Year award winner, she uses her 15 years of IT industry experience to encourage teacher colleagues and students to embrace a growth mindset. Outside the classroom, Michelle is a curriculum advisor with SCSA, on the ACS ICT Educators Committee, a senior mentor with the Girls Programming Network, and has presented at conferences locally and nationally. Currently studying an MEd(DigitalTech), her “Women in CS” posters promote girls in computing. Her website MrsChom.com helps support beginning DT Teachers around Australia as they take their first steps.
