Maria migrated to Perth Western Australia in January 2003 and subsequently became an Australian Citizen in 2005.
Maria completed a Bachelor of Commerce (double major in Information Technology and Information Systems). In 2006, Maria was awarded membership on the Curtin University Vice Chancellor’s List. Membership of the Vice Chancellor’s List is awarded at the completion of each semester to the top one per cent of undergraduate students.
Since graduating, Maria has proceeded to attain over 10 years IT experience across multiple organisations from a variety of industries – mining and resources, oil and gas, utilities, telecommunications, health care, retail and finance.
Maria has also had the honour of being recognised as the best seafood curry chef within the WaterCorporation social club.
