Dr Modika Perera

Modika completed her secondary education in Sri Lanka and accepted a Scholarship to the Moscow State University where she completed her PhD in Biological Sciences. In 1995 she migrated to Australia. Her family are passionate STEM advocates. Modika is a recipient of two prestigious Australian Grains Industry Fellowships and a former Academic. She has 14 years of experience in the WA Public sector where she has developed pragmatic approaches to achieve success. She is an active member of the Fernwood Women’s Health Club where she once won a 12-week member challenge. Modika volunteers for the Sri Lankan Women’s Foundation. She believes hard work, dedication and perseverance are core to success. She lives in Perth with her husband and daughter.
