Brooke Gibbons

Hailing from Perth, Brooke’s academic journey led them to a unique intersection of science and the sea. She undertook a Bachelor of Science in Physical and Analytical Chemistry, coupled with a second major in Marine Science. After her undergraduate adventure, it became clear that the confines of a chemistry lab weren’t her destined landscape. Embracing the call of the ocean, she immersed herself in the realm of Marine Biology. Now, she finds herself at the forefront of innovation, working at The University of Western Australia as a Web Developer, determined to improve all aspects of data collection, annotation and analyses to improve the reliability of marine science outcomes for decision making and conservation.
