About Allyson Woodford

With extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry, Allyson is a champion of continuous improvement. Through positive leadership, empowered teams and innovation she has been responsible for implementing nearly $100M in change initiatives on a site with ~400 people.

Over the years her knowledge and innovative solutions have resulted in significant cost savings. Allyson is a vocal and passionate proponent of diversity, women in STEM, young leaders and innovation. She was an inaugural mentor for the UQ EAIT Meet a Mentor program, set up a Technical Women’s Network and has regularly been invited to be a panel speaker, moderator, conference speaker on topics such as risk, women in STEM, first-year engineering and chemical engineering worldwide.

One of her proudest achievements was the creation of an Emerging Leaders Development Program for Caltex Australia. The initial intake was the most diverse cohort ever created within the refinery: 50:50 male to female; 50:50 engineer to non-engineer and more than 20% of the cohort coming from a non-English speaking background and one member who gave birth between the final two sessions.
