Maker Kids Club

The Maker Kids Club program teaches young people how to launch their own businesses. The Kidpreneur Revolution is here!

We are proud to support Maker Kids Club (MKC), a curriculum-aligned entrepreneur program for 11 and 12 year olds.

By launching and running their own businesses, students learn valuable enterprise skills that complement STEM skills we promote via Techtrails.

Please mention WiTWA on enrolment so we receive 10% of the program price to fund future Techtrails incursions.

How does it work

MKC is suitable for Years 5, 6 and 7, for classrooms or academic extension programs.

Students become ‘kidpreneurs’, learning enterprise skills like problem solving, money management and commercial awareness in the process.

According to the Foundation for Young Australians, such skills are the #1 accelerator for gaining full-time paid employment post study.

Lessons are delivered via pre-recorded videos online, making it easy to switch seamlessly between online and in-person learning.

The course takes around 14 hours to complete. The 14 lessons can be spread over one or two school terms, depending on your preference.

Enrolment includes:

  • For teachers: full access to all online materials including detailed lesson plans and a self-assessment rubric, plus unlimited support from the founder of Maker Kids Club – we’ll even do a live launch at your school if you want!
  • For students: access to the online course content, opportunity to get questions answered by MKC, and optional use of our exclusive online marketplace, MKC Plaza.
