WITWA Transformations: Announcing techtrails and a lot more

Our last event of the year is a showcase for everything WITWA has been working towards. We announce our new initiative, techtrails, a program encouraging girls and boys in remote and rural WA to consider technology careers.  We launch the techtrails program along with our new brand, a new website and a name change. Needless to say, it’s an exciting time for us.

Because techtrails is a collaborative project, we’ll have our partners from industry, government, universities, high schools, the ACS Foundation and Scitech at our launch. KPMG has generously offered their executive board room for the event with priceless views of the Swan River. It’s shaping up to be the biggest and best networking event we’ve ever held. Come along to find out how you can participate in techtrails. Spaces are extremely limited for this co-ed event so sign up early and join us in the celebration.

Program:

In her absence, a message of support from the Patron of techtrails, Professor Lyn Beazley, Chief Scientist of WA, will be read out.

Speakers:

  • Dr Erica Smyth, Chairman of Scitech Board
  • Russell Hammond, Scitech
  • Kerry Bowden, Gilmore College, Kwinana
  • Jim Ellis, ACS Foundation
  • Stephen Carroll, KPMG
