Preparing for an IT Disaster – Its not just about the technology
Join Angela Pak, Senior Manager at KPMG's IT Advisory Team for breakfast on Wednesday March 16 from 7:30 to 9:00am at KPMG, 235 St Georges Terrace, Perth for our first WITWA event of 2011. PLEASE NOTE: this will be a co-ed event, so feel free to invite your male colleagues.
When our clients are asked “How prepared are you for an IT disruption?” most clients respond in detail about the technology that has been implemented. Our experience shows technology is only one element of effective IT disaster recovery planning.
This breakfast session will focus on other critical IT disaster recovery components such as:
- Identifying core IT systems and data to be recovered;
- Linking IT Disaster Recovery to Business Continuity Planning; and
- Performing testing activities.
During this session we will also share lessons KPMG have learnt from the Queensland floods.
