  • The Globe 495-497 Wellington Street Perth, WA, 6000 Australia (map)

Have you, or are you about to start a new venture? Do you want to find out more about what to expect, the pitfalls and successes that you may expect?  Dr Suzanne Bahn, CEO of Tap into Safety, will  share her experiences in building a highly successful new venture at our next WiTWA TECHXchange.  Come along to hear from Sue, meet others and join the discussion about what is working and what opportunities are being missed.  Tickets available via Eventbrite or our Meetup Group and include some bites to eat and a free drink on arrival.

Dr. Susanne Bahn is widely recognised as a world expert in hazard perception research. With 12 years safety consultancy experience including nine years of research at Edith Cowan University. Her expertise focuses on strategies to improve hazard awareness skills and address risk blindness and safety induction deafness, for workers in hazardous work environments. She is the author of two books and over 50 journal articles published in Australian and international journals.

In response to consultation with industry, Sue started Tap into Safety to develop a range of customised, interactive mental health & safety solutions. The development of mobile, cross-platform solutions reflects her research findings which demonstrated that inclusion into ongoing training had significant improvements on injury and machinery damage frequencies and reduced mental health decline.
Our thanks to the Department of Communities for sponsoring the WiTWA TECHXchange event series in 2017. Thanks to this sponsorship we are able to offer 20 free tickets to women currently studying, unemployed or looking to enter into a role within the technology sector.
