Nominations Open for 2011 WA Innovator of the Year Award

Nominations close 1 July for the 2011 WA Innovator of the Year Awards.

The Awards Program, sponsored by KPMG, Woodside, iinet and Mitsubishi,  is one of the most prestigious competitions for Western Australian innovators offering a total prize pool of $220, 000 cash and in kind support. This includes $100,000 (cash and in kind support) for the overall winner who will be named the 2011 Mitsubishi Corporation WA Innovator of the Year.
The program consists of two Award categories plus two Encouragement Awards.

MITSUBISHI CORPORATION AWARD CATEGORIES:

  • Start Up Category, for innovations at the pre‐revenue stage of commercialisation
  • Growth Category, for innovations at the post‐revenue stage of commercialisation

ENCOURAGEMENT AWARDS

The encouragement awards will be chosen from entries submitted to the two award categories, Start Up and Growth.
  • Woodside Oil and Gas Encouragement Award – this award is for entrants developing innovative technologies with application to the WA Oil and Gas industry.
  • iiNet Encouragement Award for Innovation in Superfast Broadband Applications – this award is for entrants undertaking innovative projects that will utilise superfast broadband infrastructure.
