Consultant, EDICT International Consultants

Picture of Sheryl Frame (Committee Member)Sheryl is currently working as a consultant for her own company, EDICT International Consultants.

In January 2007, Sheryl began working at Clayko, a Perth-based document management bureau and ASP, as a part- time Consultant, to assist management in implementing internal procedures and controls.

She is also involved with Medinexus, a company she joined in June 2006, as a shareholder and in a management role, to develop the company, assist with its commercialisation process and market Medinexus’s products and services.  Sheryl brings to Medinexus a wealth of experience in taking small companies from concept through to commercialisation.

After 17 years with IBM South Africa, she started her own successful healthcare consulting company, specialising in e-Commerce, and its potential benefits to HealthCare.  Among her achievement was EDI-CARE, an on-line ordering system developed by Sheryl for Adcock Ingram Critical Care.  EDI_CARE was installed in 147 hospitals across South Africa, and was adapted to allow hospital pharmacies to order from all the major drug companies. In 1992, she joined ProMed Computer Services (a company specialising in RIS software for radiologists) as a partner-director. At that time ProMed consisted of its founder, Sheryl and one other staff member. Under her guidance, ProMed developed a number of innovative e-commerce concepts that made their RIS system “best of breed” and allowed them to gain the lion’s share of the market. In 1998, the partners sold ProMed to Dimension Data, an international public company.

She remained with Dimension Data for 2 years in a management capacity before being ‘head hunted’ to Australia as General Manager for a public-listed healthcare company.

After 3 years there she moved to another ‘start-up’ challenge, with ExpressRx, a company now based in Melbourne. Sheryl’s responsibility was to take the concept as an idea through to commercialisation. She sourced the required investors, established the business strategy, lobbied industry bodies, designed and developed the product and secured an AusIndustry Commercial-Ready grant that enabled the company to move on from an R & D phase.

She has a number of Institute memberships, including the Institute of Directors (South Africa), the Institute of Marketing Managers (South Africa and Australia), the Computer Society (South Africa and Australia), and is a previous member of the PHISC (Private Healthcare Industry Standards).
