Project Officer – Communication and Technology for the Department of Sport and Recreation

A successful business development manager, marketer, writer and editor with 15 years experience in the Media, Marketing, Internet and Technology industries, Katherine has worked in such diverse fields as editorial and product management for international e-commerce, project management of software development for education, medical and legal industries, and online marketing and digital communication for WA-based business and government entities.

She has worked in print, radio and online media, in journalistic, on-air, editorial, marketing and promotional roles.

Her published written work includes articles and advice columns for women’s lifestyle magazines Cosmopolitan and Cleo, fashion and culture magazine Cream, marketing industry journal Campaign Brief and HBF member publications, and web articles for online marketing agency MarketUnited.com and women’s web site Aphrodite Women’s Health.

She also has experience in regional and rural newspapers, working as a journalist and advertising manager for the Central Midlands Advocate and Coastal Gazette, representing local news through the Coastal and Wheatbelt area of WA and has written for various mining and resources publications with RIU (Resources and Information Unit) magazines.

Now the Project Officer – Communication and Technology for the Department of Sport and Recreation, Katherine is working on the ClubsOnline website, and several projects promoting the use of ICT in the Sport and Recreation Industry.
